At Arama, we provide a convenient, secure and cosy environment for seniors. Each resident’s experience is tailored to their needs, circumstances and preferences – from the food they prefer, to the activities they enjoy, to the level of care they require. Whether it’s learning pottery, dancing to the golden oldies or sitting by the fireplace reading a book, we are here to make it happen to make growing old as pleasant as possible.
Age gracefully in a secure, convenient space
We make ageing a comfortable and enjoyable phase of life.
We are all living in unprecedented times and navigating uncharted waters. The Covid-19 pandemic hit us all by surprise and has been a rollercoaster ride! As ‘normality’ resumes for some of us, our seniors are mostly still living in isolation. At Arama, we strongly feel that, more than ever, everyone needs to be engaged – mentally and physically – to help sharpen cognitive abilities, to keep diseases at bay and also to delay disease progression.
We recognise the importance of taking care of mental health, as well as physical health. Our experience since the conception of Arama and more so, since the Covid-19 pandemic, has brought to light the extent to which mental health issues affect so many of us, especially the seniors. One of our concerns is that there is a ‘mental health’ pandemic waiting to happen if enough emphasis is not given to taking care of mental well-being.
Throughout this pandemic we have deliberately and intentionally provided engagement, comfort and security to our residents. We have kept busy with a varied range of activities – chair yoga, bingo, singing, dancing, arts & crafts, brain gymnastics, reminiscing, gardening, movie afternoons, tree-planting and much much more.
Whilst observing Covid protocols, our team has ensured each occasion and milestone is celebrated with full gusto and we’ve continued to create precious memories – from birthdays to religious festivals, we never miss an opportunity to party at Arama!
